Cash handouts to

Vagrants
steal public spaces for private use.Vagrancy Contributes to Filth and
Pest Infestation
As the City Council continues to allow vagrants to
illegally live on the streets without consequences,

the rise.

ties/ This year, Dallas also was ranked in the top 10 roach-infested
cities in the nation. Both of these problems are exacerbated by the
high levels of crime and vagrancy in the city.
The majority of those
living on Dallas’s streets are willfully homeless and will only accept
cash handouts from strangers. Because of mental illness, drug
addiction, or any number of reasons, these individuals have no regard
for their own health or the cleanliness of their surroundings.

Even
Dallas’s Office of Homeless Solutions (OHS), which refuses to consider
new solutions to the vagrancy crisis, acknowledges that giving food or
cash to vagrants contributes to

S_ResponsibleGiving2022_Flyer_V1-2.pdf the buildup of trash and waste in
public spaces.
The constant presence of filth and trash throughout the
city degrades residents' pride in their city. Property owners have
fewer incentives to keep their property clean and well-maintained when
the City refuses to maintain public spaces.

Of course, the problems
caused by trash and poorly maintained property are not only cosmetic.
As part of OHS’s “Give Responsibly” campaign, it is noted that litter
contributes to the growth of pest populations. More trash means more
roaches, but it also means more rodents.
According to OHS, the growing
number of mice and rats threaten Dallas’s electrical system. Evidently,
rats chew through wiring, leading to power outages and stoplight
malfunctions.
We believe that safe, clean streets are a civil right,
but the problems caused by vagrancy go far beyond cleanliness. Vagrancy
is a threat to Dallas’s way of life, our prosperity, and even our
infrastructure.
Contact your city council member using the button
below. Ask them why they continue to allow vagrancy to thrive in Dallas
when they know the consequences. Demand that they stand up for your
rights as a Dallas resident and clean up our streets and end the
vagrancy crisis!

16-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Shot
High crime is anti-family and anti-child. Whether this boy was
involved in crime or merely caught in the crossfire, responsibility
rests on city officials, like District Attorney Creuzot, who refuse to
fully prosecute crime. Children can’t get caught up in crime unless
criminals have free rein!

  Blacks,
Hispanics Continue to Suffer From Dallas Murder Rate
Murder is on the
rise in Dallas because of the anti-police sentiment from our city
council. Woke activists and race-baiters claim that inherent racism in
the police force is the true cause of high crime and poverty, but with
less police, crime has gotten worse. If city officials really care
about Blacks and Hispanics, they need to hire 1,000 more officers ASAP!

  Councilwoman Calls for
Council Term Limits, Fiscal Responsibility
Councilwoman Cara
Mendelsohn has submitted several policy suggestions to the council that
would require the City Manager and certain committees to be more
transparent about budgetary items. She also proposed lifetime term
limits for council members rather than the current rule, which requires
council members to sit out for one term.

Tracking Illegal Camps:
[link removed] Each
week the KDS team drives its planned route through Dallas
photo-documenting and cataloguing illegal encampments to inform the
city of these locations. Our team livestreams these activities giving
the community a first-hand look at the vagrancy crisis in Dallas.

In
this stream, we exposed the dozens of vagrants hanging around City
Hall. [link removed]
Watch here.
 District 1 Councilman Chad West's
"Hazard Camp"
We named this camp in Chad West’s District 1 “Hazard Camp.” In colder
months, vagrants often light campfires to cook their food and keep
warm. However, campfires in urban areas are not harmless. Vagrant fires
in Dallas have spread and nearly destroyed nearby businesses. Vagrancy
is not a victimless crime!
 District 6 Councilman Omar Narvaez's
"Couch Camp"
This camp in Omar Narvaez’s District 6 has been dubbed
“Couch Camp.” Why are vagrants allowed to furnish our public spaces
with recliners and couches? Is this the behavior of a victim of poverty
or a willfully homeless person who refuses to work? There are dozens of
shelters and services available for those who want help. Only those who
reject assistance live like this. Responsible cities centralize their
homeless services to stop vagrancy from spreading throughout the city!
District 13 Councilwoman Gay Donnell Willis's
"Junk Camp"
This camp in Gay Donnell Willis’s District 13 has earned the title
“Junk Camp.” There are several different kinds of homeless camps in
Dallas, but camps like this one are practically just a pile of junk
with a tarp stretched over it. Camps like this are top contributors to
trash piling up on our streets and sidewalks. Clean streets are a civil
right!

Statement:
Keep Dallas Safe exists to address crime and homelessness
in Dallas with the goal of transforming Dallas into the safest large
city in Texas for residents and businesses. We aim to have a City
Council that prioritizes crime rate which directly determines the
quality of life in Dallas. We do this by fighting against the "defund
the police" movement, holding accountable our city leaders' efforts
towards lowering district crime rates, and highlighting our city's
homelessness problems by pushing for enforcement of the prohibition of
urban camping.
