This week, the Supreme Court announced that it will hear a case on access to the abortion pill, mifepristone – a safe and effective medication used in over half of abortions in the United States.

Since Roe v. Wade was overturned last year, we’ve seen extreme Republicans at every level of government become more emboldened to push draconian policies aimed at controlling a woman’s right to control their own body.

Just two months ago, the GOP elected a Speaker, Mike Johnson, who likened abortion to an ‘American holocaust’ and claimed that “we will get the number of abortions to ZERO!!”

These weren't comments from decades ago, John, they were made in the last year.

It probably won’t surprise you that my opponent, Ken Calvert, along with every single House Republican, voted to make Johnson the Speaker.

Calvert is also on the record voting NO on the Right to Contraception Act, NO on Ensuring Access to Abortion Act, and NO on the Women’s Health Protection Act.

With the ultra-conservative Supreme Court and MAGA-led Congress fighting to unravel women’s rights, it's never been more urgent to retake the House majority and pass legislation that protects the fundamental right to choose.
