Dear A.,

In a powerful demonstration of American support for Israel, Congress just authorized significant resources to strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship.

Every year, AIPAC leads a comprehensive lobbying effort to ensure pro-Israel provisions are included in the National Defense Authorization Act. The 2024 NDAA is perhaps the most pro-Israel package ever passed, and I want to thank you for your hard work in making this possible.

As a result of your investment in AIPAC, lobbying efforts with elected officials, and political support for pro-Israel leaders, this year’s NDAA includes a long list of policies we have urged Congress to pass, including:
- $500 million for U.S.-Israel missile defense cooperation, including life-saving programs like Iron Dome.
- $55 million, a 37.5% increase over last year, for U.S.-Israel counter-drone technology.
- $47.5 million in new funding for U.S.-Israel cooperation on emerging defense technologies, including directed energy, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and quantum.
Below my signature are more details about these programs and the others included in the bill. Many pro-Israel leaders in Congress — Democrats and Republicans — worked hard to ensure these important policies were included.

The past few months have clearly demonstrated that Israel’s security, and international support for Israel, can never be taken for granted. For decades, we have worked day-in and day-out to ensure that America’s support for Israel never wavers.

As Israel continues its campaign to defeat Hamas, free the hostages and remove the terror threat from Gaza, we must redouble our work to ensure America’s leaders always stand with our ally Israel.

Your support of our movement is essential to achieving this goal. Thank you for your continued commitment to AIPAC and our work to strengthen the U.S.-Israel relationship.

Sincerely,
Michael Tuchin

AIPAC President
