John, the court hearing on the new Georgia Congressional maps will begin in just six days. Team Lucy is doing all we can to prepare ourselves for any outcome as we wait for the judge to make a ruling. We’re about to ask you to donate to our $25k fundraising goal by 12/20, but first, we’ll give you three good reasons why Lucy McBath needs your support today.

1. Republicans are doing everything they can to kick Lucy out of Congress through partisan gerrymandering. The new maps – which were just signed by Gov. Brian Kemp – are a direct attempt to remove Lucy from office by redrawing the district she represents to be +20 points Republican.
2. Lucy has been a leader in the movement for gun safety reform in Washington DC since 2018. Her advocacy on this critical issue as a Congresswoman has led to key victories such as the passage of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act and the establishment of the Office of Gun Violence Prevention.
3. It’s been a slow year for fundraising, and we can’t afford to wait until 2024 to prepare for what’s shaping up to be a very contested election. It may seem like Election Day is far away, but right now is the time when our team puts the infrastructure in place that will make or break Lucy’s campaign – all of which requires raising money.
