Leading the Way 2023 Summary - National Immigration Forum - National Immigration Forum held its Leading the Way convening in Houston, Texas, November 15-17, 2023. This year’s convening brought together faith, law enforcement, national security, and business leaders to discuss a path forward on immigration reform and border security. Experts examined solutions to fight the fentanyl epidemic, how to create orderly and humane processes at the border, reforms to tackle workforce challenges and inflation, and challenges posed by temporary immigration statuses.

Taxpayers Should Not Bail Out Student Loan Borrowers - On the same day the Supreme Court ruled President Biden's "student loan forgiveness" program unconstitutional, the Department of Education announced a new final rule to allow a majority of bachelor’s degree student loan borrowers to avoid paying back even the principal on their loans. Rather than addressing the root causes of the student debt crisis, the Biden Administration would rather transfer the financial burden onto taxpayers, exacerbating our ongoing issues with inflation and contributing further to our staggering $33 trillion national debt.

Texas Supreme Court Rebukes District Judge Who Authorized an Abortion in Violation of State Law - Monday night, the Texas Supreme Court issued a seven-page per curiam opinion that vacated Travis County District Court Judge Maya Guerra Gamble's order to allow an abortion of an unborn child at least 20-weeks-old. 

Bring These Hostages Home - This week marked two months since Hamas terrorists' vile, horrific attack on Israel, in which more than 1,200 people were killed and over 240 were taken hostage. Many of them remain trapped in the darkness.
