Since we’ve received a number of questions about Congress and its newest
leadership, I want to let you know where Americans for Prosperity thinks
Congress stands for the remainder of this year and 2024.
John, you don’t live in Louisiana, so I’m sharing a recent op-ed published in

Speaker Mike Johnson's exceptional record as a principled leader in the

When he joined the federal House of Representatives, Speaker Johnson earned a
perfect rating on the AFP Scorecard and recognition as a policy champion
through our Pioneers for Prosperity award.
Speaker Johnson's policy priorities extend far beyond the borders of
Louisiana. He has been a staunch supporter of critical initiatives such as the
Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, aimed at allowing American workers and families to keep
more of what they earn.
Additionally, he previously championed the REINS Act to limit expensive
regulations that harm our economy, and he has played a pivotal role in bills
such as the VA MISSION Act and VA Accountability and Whistleblower Protection
Act, demonstrating unwavering support for our nation's veterans.
We believe 2024 will be a key opportunity to restore America’s fiscal
responsibility, expand freedom and opportunity in health care, and unleash
American energy from excessive regulation.
Your engagement and advocacy are crucial in effecting positive change and
advancing our shared vision—an America where every person has the freedom and
