And even as McCarthy took a sharp turn to the right, bending the knee to the most extreme elements of his party in a desperate attempt to be Speaker, and presided over the worst Speakership in the history of Congress, Scott Baugh has stood by his friend Kevin McCarthy at every turn.

Even after McCarthy was ousted as Speaker, Baugh told The Hill, “I fully anticipate Kevin McCarthy still being involved.”

With control of the House on the line next November, this should be a huge wakeup call.
