John, the system wasn’t built for people like me to succeed, let alone run for Congress.
I am a renter, a product of the foster care system, and a working class mother who has, at one point or another, felt let down by every system that was supposed to keep me safe. I know firsthand that we can’t rely on the current institutions and leaders to fix the problems people like me experience every day.
And I know I’m not alone.
That’s why we NEED and DESERVE people in Congress who know firsthand the struggles of the working class.
But like I said, they don’t make it easy for people like us to succeed. So, John, I need grassroots support from donors like you to get there.
I need to raise another $15,000 to hit tomorrow's mid-month goal – and hitting this goal is critical to staying on track for end-of-quarter, when fundraising numbers go public. So please, rush a donation right now to support my campaign for MD-06 >>
Over 50% of people serving in Congress are millionaires, so we don’t have to
wonder why Congress hasn’t passed policies to help working families. Too many politicians are disconnected from the average American – and that’s why I’m running to be a voice for
everyone.
I know how to fight adversity to blaze a trail. But now we’re taking that fight to the next level, and I need your help to get to Congress.
I hate asking for money, but it’s the only way someone like me can beat the system and succeed. So I have to ask: Will you donate $25 to help me blow past my mid-month fundraising goal by midnight tomorrow?
Counting on you,
Tekesha
