Kick off the new year with First Day Hikes

People hiking in winter at Schramm Park

Celebrate the new year by getting outdoors and enjoying nature. Bring your friends and family and participate in a First Day Hike at a Nebraska state park on Jan. 1.

These annual guided hikes give you the chance to explore trails, snap photos and watch wildlife. Or choose any state park and create your own hiking adventure.

At some parks, special activities are planned, including a potluck soup luncheon, winter art activities and tours of new facilities. Learn more at the link below.
