John, I’ll get right to the point. 

At the end of this month, we face the final public FEC fundraising deadline before the primary election. After this deadline, our numbers will go public. The number we post will be used to judge our ability to win the primary and go on to the general to keep this seat blue. 

My team is running the books every week, and right now we’re over $20k short of where we need to be by the end of the day on Friday. I need your help. Will you chip in any amount you can to help us close this gap?

Remember: the last time numbers were posted, my opponent and I were neck and neck. The main difference between us was that a majority of his donations came from out of state. The majority of my donations came from right here in Texas, including far more in-district donors than my opponent.  

John, that outside money is still pouring into this race, and a lot of it is coming from folks attacking me for my pro-choice record and, shockingly, for being a gay woman. I need your help to combat it. Please, dig deep and chip in any amount you can.
