John, do you have a moment?
As Finance Director, it’s my job to make sure Democrat Yadira Caraveo has all the resources she needs to win reelection in Colorado’s ultra-competitive 8th district. But with only 24 hours left, I wanted to reach out ahead of our December mid-month deadline. We’re still running $1,450 short of where we absolutely have to be.
I know we message you a lot, but these goals aren’t arbitrary. Each and every one of these goals is critical to funding our voter contact and hard-hitting ads. If we fall short now, our team will need to make tough decisions of which programs to cut next year - which could affect whether or not we win or lose in November.
As long as we come together, we can meet all these goals and pull through the toughest moments. I know we have what it takes to hold CO-08, but every one of us will need to step up now while we have the time to make a difference.
We absolutely cannot underestimate our opponents, John. There are already three different Republicans in the race, all blasting messages out to slander Yadira’s good name.
Republicans have said their strategy is to target swing districts in blue states - just like CO-08! - and they’re having some of the best fundraising weeks we’ve seen this year to defeat us.
Now that groups like the NRCC are already spending to defeat Yadira, we cannot afford to slow down. John, can I count on you to rush in $8 or whatever you can afford so we can win again?
