The holiday season is a time filled with joy — from the giving spirit to nights around the dinner table with family — it’s a feeling that everyone should get to experience.
But every family does not get this opportunity. For many, this time of the year causes stress as they struggle to put food on the table and create a memorable holiday experience at the same time.
Team Monica wants to make sure every family has access to the food they need.
Nearly 1 in 4 San Diegans face nutrition insecurity, the inability to have three nutritious meals a day and/or provide them for their family.
These food banks are created to combat these statistics and ensure every woman, man, and child is fed. We hope that every person who needs it will take advantage of them.
This Holiday Season, we’re wishing for no empty stomachs!
