We are living through a transformative moment in our nation’s history as our democracy is under attack like never before.

The Democratic Party needs leaders who are ready to fight back and defend our democracy. As a 25-year Army veteran, I spent my career doing exactly that.

I know firsthand that our democracy is not gifted to us. I have witnessed soldiers die in front of me. I have seen the price paid by heroes both in and out of uniform to defend our freedom.

Those actions are shameful, and the people who aid or enable them are villains and cowards.
