John, House Republicans officially authorized an impeachment inquiry of President Biden in the U.S. House of Representatives.

So please allow me a moment to explain why this is so important:

Republicans don’t have evidence of any wrongdoing by President Joe Biden — even Fox commentators have acknowledged as much — and they don’t care. The facts are not what’s important to them. Tarnishing Joe Biden politically to ease Donald Trump’s path back to the White House — that’s what matters to them.

It’s a similar playbook to the one they used against Hillary Clinton, called Benghazi.

In 2015, a far-right Republican House majority opened a bogus investigation of Hillary Clinton. Even though there was no evidence of wrongdoing on her part, Kevin McCarthy told Fox News, “Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right? But we put together a Benghazi special committee, a select committee. What are her numbers today? Her numbers are dropping.”

John, it worked.

Now they are at it again. Republicans will stop at nothing to get Donald Trump back in the Oval Office. We know they will.

That’s why it’s critical that we build the resources to fight back against these dirty political tactics and support Democrats up and down the ballot.
