Last night, my opponent Jason Smith voted against the bipartisan Coronavirus Relief Bill

Dear friend,

Last night, my opponent, Rep. Jason Smith, voted against H.R. 6201, the bipartisan coronavirus relief bill. He is one of only 40 Republicans to vote against this bill, which provides paid emergency sick leave and free testing in light of the threat of Coronavirus and COVID-19.

Since Smith was elected in 2013, he’s made it clear that he only works on behalf of his corporate donors. His vote against working people today makes this even clearer.

I’m running to give my District a fair shot of survival. Since Smith has taken office, we’ve seen five of our hospitals close, our local jobs leave, and our infrastructure crumble. We need someone who will protect working families across Missouri, and it’s clear that Smith isn’t up to the task.

All week, I’ve listened to my neighbors talk about how scared they are, and how they want immediate action to protect their communities. I’ve been a Social Worker for nearly 40 years, and I’ve spent my entire career working in support of working families. It’s time for new leadership in my District.

Our campaign is 100% funded by real people, and I don’t take money from corporate donors or lobbyists. Smith, on the other hand, is almost completely funded by corporations, which means we need your support to continue building a strong campaign.

Can you support my campaign for Congress today? Now more than ever we need to come together and kick these corrupt people to the curb.
