Dear John,
At HEALTHY FUTURES OF TEXAS, we believe everyone should have equitable
access to make informed decisions about sexual and reproductive health. To
achieve that goal, we encourage conversations about abstinence, boundary
setting, healthy relationships, sexual health, contraception, and CONSENT,
where we emphasize:
* Consent is freely given;
* Having said yes once doesn’t obligate someone to say yes again; and
* Silence does not equal consent.
When we’re willing to TALK ABOUT IT, our youth learn to respect others
and protect themselves. And sometimes, as a teen recently shared, doing so
takes just one simple but powerful two-letter word.

_"This class already helped me. Last night someone propositioned me for
sex. I KNEW I DIDN'T WANT TO, SO I SAID NO."_

For this particular teen, this was an incredibly empowering moment, and
it is precisely the type of LIFE-CHANGING IMPACT you can make with your
year-end gift. [1]
Please help us ensure Healthy Futures in 2024 and beyond.
Appreciatively,
Stephanie L. Russell, Chief Development Officer
