Jefferson once wrote that the Earth belongs to the living and heroes walk among the living today.

One such hero is Zachary Nathan, a political research associate here at Vote Smart.

One of Zach’s responsibilities is sharing election results on our website as soon as possible after an election–with complete accuracy too! While visiting his family in Malaysia, and working remotely for a few weeks, Zach and his intern Ionut Moga processed all of our 2023 election results from Malaysia while most of us were sleeping that night.

Zach and Ionut are my heroes and you should know their names.
