[[link removed]]I didn’t want to send this email, but this is serious. Last year, almost ONE-SIXTH of Florida’s manatee population was DECIMATED by starvation and
pollution. And this year isn’t looking any better for these gentle giants.

These gentle creatures are painfully withering away without enough food to eat. They’re sucking in toxins as cruise ships recklessly dump waste into the ocean: waste that makes food
even harder for manatees to find -- and waste that impacts coastal communities,
too. Big Cruise can’t keep chasing profit at the expense of our only Earth and
everything that lives on it. Help stop this greedy industry and rush your $27
contribution to help us reach our $5,300 goal to protect our planet, marine
life, and people before it’s too late!

2023 is on track to be another deadly year for manatees, with over 400 helpless manatees having already perished since January. And mega-polluting industries like Big Cruise play a significant role in this
tragedy. Cruise ships dump filthy, contaminated wastewater directly into fragile
ocean habitats that are critical for vulnerable species! This harmful pollution
feeds destructive algae blooms that kill manatees' primary food source,
seagrass. So, it’s no surprise that manatees are dying rapidly from starvation
-- all of which is completely avoidable.

These needless deaths are affecting people, too. Marine life is washing up on
the shore, emaciated and filled with toxins from cruise ships. And fisheries and tourism are suffering as a result. This pattern can’t
continue.

That’s why I’m reaching out to you today. We MUST hold cruise companies and other Big Polluters accountable for the
damage they cause before we run out of time to make a difference. And I know you
recognize how high the stakes are. Will you stand with us today to protect our
oceans, wildlife, and communities before Big Cruise causes irreversible damage
to our planet?

[[link removed]]Right now, the powerful cruise industry is BOOMING. Ships the size of city
blocks are speeding through coastal waters and spewing their endless pollution.
The industry has grown so fast that governments have struggled to regulate it.
Greedy cruise companies have taken advantage of this situation, going beyond the
huge quantities of LEGAL pollution to illegal dumping.

But the harm cruise ships cause doesn’t just end with their reckless dumping of
harmful contaminants. These mammoth vessels are powered by some of the dirtiest heavy fuel. And believe it or not, cruise ships never stop running -- even when they dock! Every day, a mid-sized cruise ship emits as much particulate pollution as ONE
MILLION CARS. People in coastal communities are trapped, breathing in this harmful pollution,
and suffering higher rates of respiratory diseases as a result.

And it gets worse, Friend. Some companies have SUED to block coastal communities from exercising their fundamental rights and
protecting themselves from emissions-induced diseases! No company should be able to take away our right to fight for our health and
the health of our neighbors. For the sake of our oceans, people, and our planet,
we MUST fight back.

Big Industry is endangering our planet and our health. Fight back now and donate
$27 toward our $5,300 goal to help protect people, marine life, and the planet!

[[link removed]]We’re at a tipping point, Friend. Big Cruise has massive
resources that give it the upper hand. If we don’t change the narrative soon, we
could reach a point of no return when it comes to the health of our planet.

It's not going to be easy to take on the powerful cruise industry -- but we
can't just sit back and let Big Cruise's toxic air and wastewater emissions
cause severe harm to animals, people, and the planet. Without action, Big Cruise
companies like Carnival Corp. will continue to recklessly dump toxic wastewater into our ocean waters. And we could see the degradation of our ocean ecosystems -- one of the few
tools we have to slow down some of the impacts of climate change.

Friends of the Earth is standing up against the greedy cruise industry that
prioritizes profits over human lives, helpless wildlife, and the health of our
planet. We are working to make sure proper regulations exist and are enforced
for massive cruise ships. That means pushing the EPA to do the right thing and
put its foot down against cruise pollution. But we can’t win this fight without your help. We’re a grassroots organization
-- and we rely on support from people like you, who understand how high the
stakes are right now.

Your membership support today will go a long way towards standing up against Big
Polluters and fighting for a healthy and just planet. We’ve set an ambitious
goal of $5,300 today to fuel this work -- but we’re falling short. If just 4
more activists from your area contribute now, we can still
reach our goal to stand up for vulnerable species and the planet. Will you
donate $27 today and join us in this fight?

Donate $27 today and help Friends of the Earth hold corporate polluters
accountable and protect our oceans, our people, and the only Earth we’ll ever
get!
