I know this is an extremely busy time, so here’s a short list of why Green America tops the list of organizations to donate to make the greatest impact in 2024!

#1 We are growing Clean Energy, reducing Greenhouse Gases, and fighting to protect the freedom to invest!

We pressured Trader Joe’s to remove harmful greenhouse gases called HFCs from its refrigerants through our “Cool it!” campaign. In January 2023, Trader Joe’s committed to using HFC-free refrigerants in all their new stores. Now, we are working to get both Trader Joe’s and Kroger to remove climate-destroying refrigerants from all their existing stores.

And thanks to our “Hang up on Fossil Fuels” campaign T-Mobile/Sprint has fully transitioned to 100% renewable energy, and AT&T and Verizon have each made historic clean energy purchases, equivalent to shutting down four coal-fired powerplants. In 2024 we are urging the top ten communications companies in the country to take action on clean energy.

Social investing, also known as ESG, is under attack at the state and federal level by corporations that are angered by its success in addressing climate change and protecting people. We are urgently working to protect our democracy, our economy, and the freedom to invest responsibly.

#2 We’re taking on the largest corporations to achieve the Biggest Impacts.

We pushed Amazon to commit to 100% renewable energy by 2025. Now we are urging the company to rapidly lower its climate emissions, support environmental justice, and protect its workers, including workers overseas exposed to toxic chemicals while making Amazon clothing.

#3 We are working to make ALL Agriculture Regenerative.

Our Regenerative Ag work is extraordinary―not only are farmers putting carbon back into the soil, improving biodiversity, and producing more nutritious food―their farms are more profitable.

The farms in our Soil Carbon Initiative represent over three million acres! In 2024, we’ll work to shift millions more acres to regenerative! At the community level, we’ve registered over 20,000 Climate Victory Gardens―the carbon equivalent of not driving 39 million miles.

We have the chance to reclaim the future and reverse the climate crisis with these 3 high-impact solutions.
