Take part in the #NoProfitsOffPandemic Day of Action

By now you’ve seen the news that coronavirus has reached pandemic levels, according to the World Health Organization. What’s perhaps even more shocking is the fact that our federal government is currently being run by people who prioritize pharma profits over public health.

Case in point, Trump’s Health & Human Services Secretary, Alex Azar, has refused to commit to any eventual coronavirus vaccine that is developed being free to the public. Folks who already rely on their prescription medicine for their livelihood understand that big pharmaceutical companies will use and abuse any opportunity to gouge patients for extra buck, even during a pandemic. 

That’s why some of our volunteers will be joining people across the United States calling on Trump and Alex Azar to guarantee that any coronavirus vaccine that is developed be free to the public. In lieu of an in-person event, we’ll have patients sharing videos on our Facebook and Twitter pages speaking out with the #NoProfitsOffPandemic hashtag. You can join us too but sharing and retweeting their voices and even creating videos of your own! 

Together, by taking the proper precautions, we will get through this public health crisis. But in order to do that, we need you to help us hold our leaders accountable. Can we count on you to speak out?
