Israel is taking unprecedented steps to reduce civilian casualties in Gaza.

Israel is determined to achieve its military objectives: destroy Hamas’ capabilities, drive the terror group from power, free all the hostages.

Congress is advancing significant bipartisan pro-Israel legislation.

Dear A.,

Today, White House National Security Council Spokesperson John Kirby forcefully

responded to questions from the press about Israel’s actions in Gaza and emphasized how Israel takes unprecedented steps to protect innocent civilians.

The Israelis "have published online maps of places where people can go or not to go. That’s basically telegraphing your punches," said Kirby. "There are very few modern militaries in the world that would do that. I don’t know that we would do that."

Kirby was speaking from the White House podium while wearing a dog tag necklace that reads, #BringThemHomeNow. The necklace was given to him by Rubi Chen, whose son Itay has been held hostage by Hamas for 67 days.

Israel’s military campaign continued today, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told troops on the front lines that the mission would continue until Israel’s objectives were achieved.

Today in Khan Yunis, Hamas terrorists fired at Israeli troops from inside a school. After taking down the terrorists, IDF soldiers found weapons inside classrooms and an underground combat center below the school buildings.

AIPAC has lobbied Congress to take action against terrorist groups who use human shields, and tonight, a key House committee voted 43-0 to

advance a bill to expand sanctions on those who use this deplorable practice.

"This important legislation will strengthen Congress’s role in ensuring that our available tools to combat this horrific practice are used effectively," said Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA) who co-authored the bill with Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI).

"Of all the malign activities of these groups, few are more reprehensible or dangerous than their use of civilians as human shields," Gallagher said.

The House Foreign Affairs Committee also

advanced an AIPAC-backed bill to counter BDS. Since 1979, U.S. law has protected American companies from anti-Israel boycotts led by foreign countries – such as the Arab League Boycott. The bipartisan bill passed in committee tonight – led by Reps. Mike Lawler (R-NY) and Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) – modifies the existing law to include boycotts led by international organizations like the U.N.

Both bills will now go to the House floor.

Senate passes defense bill with major pro-Israel provisions

Tonight, the Senate passed the National Defense Authorization Act – one of the most important bills we lobby for each year.

The broad bipartisan bill authorizes many important pro-Israel provisions, including $500 million for missile defense programs and increased funding for counter-drone cooperation. The House will vote next to send this bill to the president’s desk.
