1 Year Anniversary of Respect for Marriage Act; On Dec 13, 2022, President Biden signed the Respect for Marriage Act, which protects same-sex and interracial marriages, into law. Senator Tammy Baldwin, the first openly gay Senator in U.S. history, spearheaded the bipartisan effort to pass the Respect for Marriage Act. This will continue to protect the freedoms and rights of millions of couples in Wisconsin and nationwide. Senator Tammy Baldwin fights for the protection of all Wisconsin families. Because of her leadership we passed the Respect for Marriage Act. We repealed Don't Ask Don't Tell. We passed the Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Prevention Act. Senator Baldwin is building a future filled with equality and justice.

Tammy Baldwin has been a fierce advocate of marriage equality and stood up to protect our right to love and live how we please—no matter who we are. But, this fight is far from over.
