As we approach the end of the year, I thought it might be a nice time to take a look back at all that House Republicans have accomplished (or rather haven’t) this year:
For starters, it took House Republicans 15 rounds of voting in January over 2 weeks to elect Speaker Kevin McCarthy. Unfortunately, that didn’t last very long, and before we knew it, they voted to oust him.
Then, the House went for weeks without a Speaker, as Republicans went back and forth and couldn’t agree on anyone. Eventually, they elected an election-denying MAGA extremist, Mike Johnson.
All this to mention, and they nearly allowed our government to default on the debt and came close to a catastrophic government shutdown.
Now, they’re holding up aid to Ukraine and blocking a number of important legislative initiatives for the American people.
I don’t know about you, but I sure hope we don’t have another 2 years of this. We need to do everything in our power to take back the House in 2024, and that starts with protecting vulnerable seats like mine.
I have National Republicans targeting me and ready to spend any amount of money to defeat me, so I need your help. Will you contribute today?
