** Sign our Open Letter to MoC's on Coronavirus & Health Emergency Legislation
------------------------------------------------------------
As we practice social distancing, our members remain committed to holding their members of Congress accountable. This is especially crucial in a crisis such as the one going on today. All people are vulnerable in the coronavirus pandemic - even those who are not seriously threatened by the disease itself are facing significant losses of health, income, and social interaction.

------------------------------------------------------------
The ISF Steering Committee has expressed to our Members of Congress our support for the legislative proposals of Speaker Pelosi and Democratic Leader Schumer and for HR 6201 (the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.)

Those are good first-steps for Congress to take, but Trump/Republicans are opposing them, and far more also needs to be done. Therefore, we are asking Indivisible members to read and sign our Open Letter expressing our continued support for their initial legislative package and urging them to also fight for even bolder, stronger, and more effective measures. We will send the Open Letter to our MoC next Wednesday with as many signatures as possible – hopefully more than 50.

(Note that because this is a fast moving crisis, the text of the letter will probably be updated and expanded based on new information. Please regularly check the working draft. In the unlikely event that someone who has signed the letter disagrees with an update they can withdraw their signature by emailing [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) .)
