John,

Republicans in Congress and the Senate seem determined to do the bidding of authoritarian dictators at the expense of our own National Security.

When they held up hundreds of Military promotions for the better part of an entire year, Putin was jumping for joy.

Now that they’ve moved on to blocking critical aid for Ukraine, Putin couldn’t be happier. Nothing could possibly help him more than American support for Ukraine faltering due to our own internal political divisions.

When President Zelenskyy implored our leaders for their help yesterday, Russian propagandists had a field day. They spoke to what our greatest fears should be — that Putin won’t stop at territorial gains in Ukraine. That he won’t settle for peace and what little land he’s taken so far. And that if Trump retakes the White House, Russia would roll over NATO.

That should send a chill down your spine. And in any normal world, it should spur the GOP to end this political charade and pass aid for Ukraine.

That hasn’t happened yet. We need to keep pushing.

Please, chip in to VoteVets and help us keep the pressure on Republicans as we work to get this aid across the finish line. And once we get this done, we’ll continue to work to make sure Trump is defeated — once and for all.
