John, I wish I had better news.
After months of litigation in Simon Ateba’s First Amendment lawsuit against White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, the federal district court in Washington, D.C. ruled against us.
You may recall that the White House changed the rules with respect to credentialing journalists for White House briefings, we believe, to keep journalists like Simon out of the room.
Simon is one of the few journalists unafraid to ask this White House tough questions while legacy media consistently ignore newsworthy stories that would reflect poorly on the Biden Administration.
But this case is far from over.
Rest assured, this is a setback, but not the end of our fight for Simon’s First Amendment rights.
As I’m writing this email to you, our attorneys are working overtime to determine our next steps in this case.
Will you make a generous, tax-deductible donation of $35 or more right away and keep this fight alive?
John, we can’t just let Joe Biden and Karine Jean-Pierre win.
And I should remind you that this wouldn’t be the first time we faced a challenge of this magnitude.
In Gish v. Newsom, Tandon v. Newsom, and South Bay United Pentecostal Church v. Newsom we ultimately WON our cases at the United States Supreme Court after initially losing in federal district court.
Like I said, John – this fight isn’t over.
And I hope I can count on you to rush a generous, emergency gift to the Center for American Liberty so our legal team is fully prepared.
The free press is too important to shrug our shoulders and accept defeat.
So, if you’re in the position to give a generous gift today, please don’t hesitate.
Thank you for your continued support.
