"L.A. County has launched the state-funded Community Assistance, Recovery and Empowerment program, better known as CARE Court. Qualified individuals can petition the Court for an eligible individual with untreated schizophrenia or other mental health disorders to receive treatment and services and continue on a path of recovery and well-being."

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors recently approved a motion [ [link removed] ] allowing the Department of Health Services to collaborate with Traveling Doctors [ [link removed] ] and provide volunteer opportunities and educational materials, including participating in telehealth services specific to treating burn wounds and skin grafting techniques for victims and displaced refugees in Armenia from the Azerbaijan/Artsakh War.

The need for medical professionals is critical, and Traveling Doctors, an international non-profit providing medical care and education to communities in need, is calling on governments and partners worldwide to send support.

What is a Microenterprise Home Kitchen Operations? Join Team DEO and the LA County Department of Public Health for a town hall on street vending in LA County and to provide feedback on a potential new law that will allow residents to legally operate a miniature restaurant from their home kitchen. MEHKOs is a state law that if passed locally, will provide entrepreneurs and aspiring chefs a legal pathway to:


* Prepare, and serve food to the public, as allowed by State law, similar to a mini restaurant;
* Make up to 90 meals per week and 30 meals per day; and
* Earn up to $100,000 in revenue
