The topic of this Friday's Symposium is the creation of the first true Republic in the New World--the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Just as now, the fight then was the right to create a nation free from?colonial tyranny through sovereign?credit, internal improvements, and scientific progress. Let's remember our history to once again free our nation from its colonial masters and rejoice that much of the rest of the world is now fulfilling the promise of that historical struggle.
