Yesterday’s ruling by the New York High Court of Appeals will directly impact the race for NY-01, hopefully giving Democrats a bigger edge.
The GOP-led chaos in the House of Representatives shows how important it is for Democrats to flip and hold every seat possible, and we now have an even better shot at flipping NY-01.
There is a very real possibility of shifting the balance of power in the House next year, and we want NY-01 to be a part of it!

Hello John,
The team and I got some great news a few hours ago, and we want to make sure you know about it.
Earlier today, the New York Court of Appeals ordered the Independent Redistricting Commission to redraw the New York congressional district lines, which will directly impact our chances of winning this seat.
From the ruling:
"Consistent with our opinion and the Appellate Division’s direction, the IRC should comply with its constitutional mandate by submitting to the legislature, on the earliest possible date, but in no event later than February 28, 2024, a second congressional redistricting plan and implementing legislation."
We were already feeling good about NY-01 being a 50/50 district before this news. Now there’s a great chance the district will lean even more Democratic once the new lines have been drawn and certified early next year.
