Our country has changed a lot since 1983 – but Social Security hasn’t.
That was the last time this vital program was changed, and it’s past due
for an update.

Representative John Larson (D-CT) has introduced a bill in the House of
Representatives that would strengthen and modernize Social Security, but
we need your support to help it pass.

The Social Security 2100 Act (H.R. 860) increases benefits for all
recipients and protects low-income workers by increasing the minimum
monthly benefit, and it will fund Social Security for generations to come.

Since Donald Trump took office, he and Republicans in Congress have been
trying to slash Social Security benefits and have allowed millionaires and
billionaires to stop paying into Social Security after the first $137,000
of their annual income – no matter how much more they make. The Social
Security 2100 Act requires that the wealthy pay their fair share – no more
and no less – and protects life-saving benefits for all Americans.

It’s shameful that the Republican Party keeps trying to prevent seniors
from retiring with dignity.

The House has over two hundred Congressional co-sponsors on the bill so
