Because of Texas’ extreme abortion ban, a woman was forced to flee the state to avoid being forced to carry her nonviable pregnancy to term which would have put her health, future fertility, and life at risk. While she was able to flee, countless women without the resources and ability to travel are left with nowhere to turn.

Since the fall of Roe vs. Wade , Republican-enacted total abortion bans have stripped women of the ability to make their own healthcare decisions and put lives in danger.

Republicans want to usher us back into a world where women are denied reproductive rights and treated as second-class citizens, but we can stop them. We can enshrine reproductive freedom — including abortion — into law by retaking our House majority.

I’m ready to fight, but I’ll need you in this fight with me. Our critical mid-month fundraising deadline is Saturday and I need your help to ensure we hit our $20,000 fundraising goal. Chip in any amount to help me elect more Democrats and protect our bodily autonomy NOW and generations to come.

Republicans won’t stop with the overturning of Roe — they will enact a national abortion ban if given the opportunity. Their record proves it.

Just this year, House Republicans have pushed legislation to criminalize abortion, ban servicemembers from seeking reproductive care, and elected one of the most extreme, anti-choice members of Congress to House Speaker. Republicans have shown us who they are, it’s time we believe them.
