Wes knows just how hard families in this state work to get by — and that’s the reason he decided to run for Governor in the first place.

In the last year in office, we’ve shown that Maryland can do big things for families in our state. Here are three reasons why your support is critical to our work today:

1️⃣ This year we’ve secured some big wins for Maryland: we passed the Fair Wage Act, created programs to end child poverty, and created a first-in-the-country program offering a paid year of service for high school graduates, to empower and give purpose to the next generation.
2️⃣ We invested in our education system. This year, Wes signed into law the Maryland Educator Shortage Reduction Act, which invested an additional $35 million in behavioral health supports for students and $1.1 billion into school construction, and raised direct aid to local schools by 10%.
3️⃣ We’re setting up the foundation to ensure this is Maryland’s decade. This decade, we’re going to come out strong in support of our unions, protect reproductive rights, and expand gun safety laws. Maryland will continue to lead the way for our state and the country.
