John,
By now, you’ve seen headlines about the pregnant woman in Texas with a fatal fetal diagnosis who was forced to seek court permission to have an abortion—and ultimately had to travel out of state just to access care.
What we know: When politicians try to control reproductive care, pregnant people and families suffer. That’s why across every state, a majority of Americans agree that abortion is a personal decision, and the government has no business interfering with our healthcare.
Our strategy: We’re fighting back at every level, investing early in state and local leaders in communities most affected by abortion restrictions. Right now, we’re focused on voter registration, engagement, and education, because we know that in order to win in 2024, we must build the foundation now.
If you're able: Please consider helping us fill the $8,500 gap in our budget before the end of this week. Support at this time of year is especially valuable, as our programs early in the calendar year are often the most cost-efficient and high impact.
John, the headlines out of Texas represent the latest horror story. Every single patient who is denied care outright or forced to jump through legal and financial hurdles is a person who deserves more from their government. No matter what state or community we live in, we all deserve to have control over our bodies and our futures.
So, if you're able, please help us bridge the gap in our budget to make sure that in 2024, we can continue building a future with reproductive freedom for all.
Thank you for supporting this work, we can't do this without you!
