Michigan Democrats fulfilled their campaign promises to protect reproductive freedom in Michigan this year. By passing landmark legislation during the most recent session, Michigan Democrats used their new majority to repeal the state’s extreme 1931 abortion ban and expand access to abortion.

Still, extremist Republicans are working to undo our work.

Sandy Pensler — who is running for Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat — is openly against reproductive rights and called Roe v. Wade “tyrannical.”

There is no doubt that Sandy will bring dangerous anti-abortion and anti-healthcare rhetoric into the chaotic U.S. Senate GOP primary in 2024.

We need to make sure Michigan voters know where extremist Republicans stand on abortion in 2024 so we can defeat them and send a Democrat to the U.S. Senate in 2024.
