Joe Biden has presided over so many crises over the last three years that it can be hard to keep track of them all. There’s the border, the fentanyl flood, the crime wave, “Bidenflation,” the Hunter corruption soap opera. But there’s another crisis exploding across the country that could be more damaging than all the others put together: America’s disintegrating education system. The Covid lockdowns were bad. The woke war on American and Judeo-Christian values is even worse. But recent test scores show that the biggest problem of all is that our students Just. Aren’t. Learning. The latest national math assessments showed “the single largest decline we have observed in the past half a century.” Eight graders’ scores on U.S. History and Civics tests were also the lowest the National Assessment of Education Progress has ever recorded. Barely one-third of American 4th and 8th graders can even read at grade proficiency. Average scores on the SAT and ACT college entrance exams have also fallen to historic lows. And just this month, U.S. 15-year-olds had their worst showing ever on the Program for International Student Assessment, a math exam given to students in 81 countries. Is this what Americans are getting for the $17,000 per pupil we spend on our schools? That’s 50% higher than the average private school tuition. It’s a racket. It’s a scandal. The question is: what are we going to do about it? This is the kind of question that explains why the Senate Conservatives Fund was founded 15 years ago. Democrats are not going to solve this problem. They see schools as conduits for funneling money to leftist interest groups like the teachers’ unions. Marxist elites don’t care if public schools stink — they send their kids to private schools anyway. But… are establishment Republicans any better? Mitch McConnell? Mitt Romney? Susan Collins? Definitely not. Conservatives have been fighting for school choice, education savings accounts, and protecting students from woke school boards for years. Conservatives know we can’t wait for corporate RINOs to come around on education reform. To make schools great again, conservatives need to start taking the fight to the Establishment ourselves. A Senate with more leaders like Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, Ron Johnson, Josh Hawley, and others won’t need reminding, lobbying, or cajoling. They will do what needs to be done. Every candidate SCF supports fully supports the fundamental, pro-family, pro-student reforms our education system needs. They are ready to go to battle for moms, dads, and kids against the leftist conspiracy trying to steal their future. Joe Biden’s education crisis is going to be on the ballot in 2024, including in Texas, Missouri, Florida, and West Virginia, where SCF-endorsed candidates are running for the Senate. These are the heroes ready to fight for our kids, rescue our schools, and take our classrooms back from the woke elites driving our nation into ignorance and indoctrination. Please continue to support them with your contributions. As always, SCF will pay all processing fees and transfer 100% of your candidate donations directly to their campaigns. Thank you for being part of our team and for doing so much to support leaders who will truly fight for our nation’s children. |
