I’m so proud of what Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team have accomplished together.

Nearly 2.3 million Canadians have been lifted out of poverty since 2015. Over a million more Canadians are working today compared to when the pandemic first hit. Child care fees are down by at least 50% across the country and down to $10-a-day in six provinces and territories – and by 2026, child care will cost an average of just $10-a-day across Canada. Because of our plan, women’s labour force participation reached a record high of 85.7% this summer.

But we haven’t stopped there.

Housing is the central focus for millions of Canadians – and it is at the heart of our economic plan. This fall alone, we have unlocked billions of dollars in new funding to build hundreds of thousands of new homes. We are helping more than 300,000 Canadians – and counting – save for a down payment with our new Tax-Free First Home Savings Account. We are cracking down on short-term rentals, and we are supporting Canadians who are struggling to renew their mortgages through the new Canadian Mortgage Charter.

We are working hard to build an economy that works for everyone – and we can’t slow down as we move forward into 2024.
