Why is the U.N. silent about terrorist war crimes? Why are they enabling hatred and terrorism?
Friend of Israel,
Yesterday, as the U.N. voted for an "immediate" ceasefire that would leave Hamas terrorists armed and in power in Gaza, Hamas' terrorist allies were busy firing rockets into Israel just over 100 yards away from a U.N. compound in southern Lebanon.
It was just one of several Hezbollah attacks in recent weeks that has been launched next to U.N. positions in Lebanon, violating U.N. Security Council Resolution 1701 and endangering the lives of U.N. peace keepers.
Also yesterday, as Israel was working to increase the U.N.'s capacity to transfer aid to Gaza’s civilians, new video surfaced of Hamas hijacking humanitarian aid and shooting civilians in the process.
These are just the latest examples of the United Nations ignoring terrorist activities and war crimes while it seeks to advance biased, one-sided resolutions against Israel. Since October 7:
U.N. Women, which aids global women’s rights, was silent for almost two months about the unimaginable horrors Hamas inflicted on Israeli women. Only after being called out by 80+ members of Congress, did they finally make a statement.
UNRWA, the U.N. agency that operates in Gaza, was found to have staff that celebrated Hamas’ barbaric massacre on Facebook. For years, UNRWA staff have embraced hatred and terrorism, and UNRWA schools have taught this extremism to Palestinian children.
And there were reports that one of the civilians taken hostage by Hamas was held captive in the attic of an UNRWA teacher, without medical treatment and with barely any food!
Why is the U.N. silent about terrorist war crimes? Why are they enabling hatred and terrorism?
It’s time the United States does something about the disgusting behavior at the U.N. AIPAC is working with pro-Israel leaders in Congress to help hold the U.N. accountable.
The mission of AIPAC is to encourage and persuade the U.S. government to enact specific policies that create a strong, enduring and mutually beneficial relationship with our ally Israel.
