I can barely believe it, but we’re already about halfway through December and just two weeks away from the end of the year! But with the end of 2023 also comes our final fundraising deadline of the year.
Before I ask if you can pitch in a grassroots contribution, I hope you’ll let me explain why your support matters in this moment.
Our December 31 deadline isn’t just a regular end-of-month deadline: it’s the end of this financial quarter and year, and we need to ensure we have the resources ready for the fights ahead in 2024.
We’ve faced a lot of challenges in 2023, from attacks on transgender youth to the continued loss of life from the gun violence epidemic, the destructive impacts of climate change, and powerful corporations ripping off consumers to pad their bottom lines.
As California’s Attorney General, I’ve spent this past year taking bad actors to court, conducting investigations, and supporting legislation and policies to protect the rights of every Californian and seek justice for all.
Of course, 2024 is a presidential election year, and we can expect far-right extremists to go to great lengths to try to take back the White House and U.S. Senate. We have to do our part here in California to lead the way and act as a shining example for the country.
Our campaign is people-powered, meaning we depend on grassroots donations from regular people like you to fuel our work.
The more we raise from emails like this one, the less I have to worry about fundraising and the more I can focus on doing important work as the People’s Attorney.
