I’m reaching out because with the holiday pauses coming up we’re officially halfway through the month of December, and weeks away from the final annual FEC deadline, but we’re not quite where we need to be in meeting the fundraising goal we set for the month.

At the end of this month, we’re legally required to report our fundraising number to the Federal Election Commission (FEC). Once we do that, our report will be publicly available and compared against other candidates in this race.
Unlike John James’ and other campaigns, we’re not talking DeVos money or major special interest PAC cash and are counting on support from individual donors to power our efforts. Has that made things harder? Sure. But I think it’s important to lead with our values in how we fund this campaign if we intend on stopping electing representatives who’re in the pocket of bad actors.
It’s important that we use this opportunity to show that even without dark money we’re on the rise, and prove that we have widespread grassroots support to win.
