Yesterday we reached out to you about Fiona, a dogfighting survivor who was terrified after enduring trauma we couldn’t begin to imagine. Thankfully, we were able to rescue her and provide her with the care she needed, but we couldn’t have helped her without support from compassionate animal lovers like you.

Fiona was stuck in a small cage, day in and day out, forced into a life of violence. Without friends like you, her ending could have been very different. But luckily, she had ASPCA supporters she could count on to launch her journey of transformation.

During her time in our care at the ASPCA Cruelty Recovery Center, Fiona gained confidence and learned that the world isn’t so scary when being treated with love and kindness. She even went on to become a “helper dog," assisting other fearful dogs in gaining confidence. Then, came our favorite part of the story, when she met her adopter, Becky!

After Becky adopted Fiona, and another dog named Rascal from her case, the three not only became the best of friends, but family. In her new life, Fiona loves going on walks, hikes and meeting every person and dog in her path.
