Dear John,
“It’s shameful that we have to fight a war of liberation in the 21st century,” a Palestinian woman in our group told senate staff during our daily visits to congressional offices last week.
Photos of Israeli hostages in Gaza are on full display in the Congress. But you will never see a photo of a Palestinian child murdered by Israel using U.S.-manufactured bombs, or the 6,000+ Palestinian hostages held in Israeli prisons. This is why we are there every day to put pressure on our representatives and senators to call for a ceasefire. We have successfully moved from zero to over 60 members of Congress calling for a ceasefire within two months. And those we move acknowledge that it’s due to the pressure applied by the movement for Palestine.
We must stay in the halls of Congress, as our politicians are receiving non-stop propaganda from the pro-Israel lobby!
Help us flood the halls of Congress with Pro-Palestine Love!

Last week, we were incredibly fortunate to have the author, Zeina Azzam, read her powerful poem about Gaza, 'Write My Name,' in Senator Schumer's office.

After the UN Secretary-General invoked Article 99 to trigger a vote for a ceasefire in Gaza, the U.S. was the ONLY country to vote against it. The U.S. insists on supporting Israel's massacre in Gaza, despite popular opinion around the world and within the United States. How can we call ourselves a democracy? This is why we are in Congress day in and day out, challenging their support for the slaughter by asking, “Is your allegiance to Israel or the American people?”
As we look forward to the coming year, please consider setting up a monthly donation to CODEPINK. Your commitment as a monthly sustainer will be critical to our planning for the coming year, knowing that we can count on you as we take on the war machine in 2024.

We are grateful for your support and all you do for peace. 2024 will be a pivotal year in history. Despite how crushing the lies and propaganda feel, silence equals death. We are doing all we can to shine a light on the truth and educate our community members. Working together in coalitions, we are building a connective tissue for life, for the future, for the people and the planet.
Holding you in our hearts with endless love, appreciation, and determination,
Ann, Cale, Danaka, Farida, Grace, Jasmine, Jodie, Marcy, Mark, Medea, Melissa, Michelle, Nancy, Nour, Nuvpreet, Paki, Ryan, Teri, Tim, and Ysa
