Jack, add your name: Republicans opposed infrastructure law. They can't take credit for it now.

Two years ago, Democrats like us fought tooth and nail to pass the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). This historic infrastructure bill funded key transportation projects, housing, schools, internet, and community health care in all 50 states.
Instead of delivering big for their constituents, the GOP used every tool at their disposal to block and delay IIJA. However, now that voters are seeing the benefits of the law and strongly support it, many of those same Republicans who opposed the bill—Senators Tommy Tuberville, John Cornyn, and Representative Nancy Mace, for example—are now touting its accomplishments.
It's the height of hypocrisy to vote against a key piece of legislation and then claim credit for its success. If the GOP wants credit for doing good things for their constituents, they must work with Democrats to pass good legislation.
Sign the petition: Republicans who opposed the historic infrastructure law cannot claim credit for its success.
