We’re in a gun violence epidemic, John.

We’ve known this for decades, but Congress has refused to take permanent and meaningful action to stop it. But Hank and Elizabeth Warren aren’t going to be dissuaded.

Chip in now to show Hank you have his back as he fights for gun safety reform → [[link removed]]

The two of them recently reintroduced the Gun Violence Prevention and Community Safety Act, which would implement common-sense reforms recommended by gun safety experts, like:

-- Licensing. If you need a license to drive a car, doesn’t it make sense to require firearm users to be licensed?

-- Better background checks. Loopholes in our current background check system have allowed mass murderers to buy guns — like the killer in the 2015 Charleston church shooting.

-- Assault weapons ban. Military-style assault weapons are meant for warzones, not hunting or self-defense. There’s no reason these firearms should be sold to ordinary consumers.

These are some of the biggest provisions in the comprehensive gun safety bill. We know there’s a long road ahead of us on this piece of legislation. But we’re so proud of Hank for introducing it and fighting for it.

We need to keep the pressure on. Will you show Hank that you support what he’s doing by making a contribution? [[link removed]]
