John, After being the only non-Republican Senator to vote against unconditional aid to support Bibi Netanyahu’s illegal bombing campaign in Gaza, Bernie Sanders is speaking truth to power once again by denouncing America’s outrageous decision to veto a UN resolution calling for a humanitarian ceasefire and the release of all hostages held by Hamas. As Bernie said, with thousands dead and the medical system failing in Gaza, innocent children desperately need the food, water, and medical supplies that could be brought in with a humanitarian ceasefire. Netanyahu’s extreme right-wing government is creating the conditions for more terror by bombing civilians, which plays directly into the hands of Hamas. Add your name here to join Bernie in denouncing America’s horrific decision to veto the UN resolution calling for a humanitarian ceasefire and the release of all Hamas hostages.
Hamas’ attack on October 7th was unimaginably cruel and had no place in a civilized society. Israel has every right to defend itself against it and to take the steps necessary to secure the release of the civilian hostages they are still holding. That’s why it’s so wrong that a resolution calling for the release of hostages, which is what this war is supposedly trying to achieve, was vetoed by the United States. This veto only further empowers the extremists on both sides, endangers the lives of more innocent people, and creates the conditions for more terror. Sign here if you agree with Bernie Sanders that the decision of the United States to veto a resolution calling for the release of hostages and a humanitarian pause in Gaza is dangerous and wrong. When we organize, we win! Our Revolution
