our final FEC fundraising deadline of 2023. We just got a concerning update, so
I hope you'll let me spell out why your support is so important.

Last week, elections analysts at the Daily Kos confirmed that I'm the only
Democrat in Illinois facing a difficult re-election in 2024. They note that
despite this being a Democratic district, it has slowly been "trending to the
right."

Folks, this changes nothing about what I’m doing on
the ground. We’re still laser-focused on the issues impacting Central and
Northwestern Illinois -- easing the cost of living, creating well-paying jobs,
improving healthcare outcomes and more. 

But the fact is we know national Republicans are going to spend millions to
unseat me. As a freshman member, I'm the most vulnerable I'll ever be, which
means we need to close out the year strong with a firewall of grassroots
support. 

We're setting a goal of raising $30,000 in online donations before the end of
year. If you can, please chip in $10, $35, $50 or
more today. Every dollar helps communicate our message in the face of Republican
attacks.
