This month marks our final FEC fundraising deadline of the year! I can't stress enough how important it is to have a strong showing before we face off with GOP Rep. Mike Garcia in 2024.
Here's what we’re keeping a close eye on:
- Garcia is more vulnerable than ever. Recent polling shows his approval rating is circling the drain. It’s plummeted nearly 10% in recent weeks, and it’s clear a majority of local voters disapprove of his extreme views including a national abortion ban.
- Garcia is losing powerful allies. With Kevin McCarthy resigning at the end of the month, Garcia is losing one of his most important allies and campaign funders. But with this loss comes an opportunity for special interest groups to back Garcia.
- George is in a strong position to defeat him. National Republicans desperately need CA-27 to keep power in the House. We have plans in place to put up billboards, kick off our on-the-ground operation, and launch TV and digital ads.
