Did I catch you at the right time, folks? I'd like to explain something before I ask you to pitch in toward my re-election campaign’s final mid-month goal of the year. [[link removed]]

We are only a few weeks away from our end-of-year fundraising deadline. That means we're also only a few weeks away from filing our fundraising report with the Federal Election Commission, who will make that information public shortly after.

This will be our most important fundraising report yet. From Mitch McConnell-aligned super PACs desperate to see him back in power to potential Republican opponents for my campaign and campaigns we support — everyone will be poring over our numbers at the start of the election year to see if we have the resources it takes to help defend our Democratic Senate Majority. If our report looks weak, you can bet National Republicans will flood New Mexico and battleground races with millions to try to defeat Democrats everywhere.

Frankly, our fundraising numbers are far from the only measure of the strength of our grassroots team. Your fervent support for making our shared values a reality — like protecting reproductive rights, enacting common-sense gun safety measures, and preserving our public lands and waters for future generations — is critical to the success of our campaign. I will never take that support for granted.

But Republicans don't understand what our values mean to us. Instead, they are hyper-focused on the numbers. That's why it's important we come together to deliver a strong report.

The future of our Senate Majority is hanging in the balance, and stepping up now can make a real difference in the results we see on Election Day.
