------------------------------------------------------------

Dear John ,

PACEs Connection is a social network that recognizes the impact of a wide variety of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) in shaping adult behavior and health, and that promotes trauma-informed, healing-centered and resilience-building practices and policies in all families, organizations, systems, and communities.

PACEs Connection supports local PACEs initiatives in neighborhoods, cities, counties, states, and nations. We provide initiatives with a free community site on PACEs Connection, guidelines on how to launch and grow local PACEs initiatives, and powerful online tools that help initiatives measure their progress.

We support communities ([link removed]) to accelerate the science of positive and adverse childhood experiences to solve our most intractable problems. During the past year we have focused attention on each of our core areas: Prevention, Support, Community and Tools.
Healthy Blue in North Carolina ([link removed]) wanted to include resiliency initiatives in counties with high numbers of children in foster care in the PACEs Connection Cooperative of Communities ([link removed]) . PACEs Connection partnered in creating a program to improve the health and wellbeing of children in the foster care system. We helped more than 700 people in the six counties, including North Carolina Department of Social Services, Guardian ad Litem volunteers, foster parents, and community leaders receive training in the Community Resiliency Model, which offers six wellness skills for emotional self-regulation.

Your gift of $250 will support our efforts to provide free programs and events that educate the public about both positive and adverse childhood experiences, like this one, our Historical Trauma in America series ([link removed]) and our Creating Resilient Communities Accelerator ([link removed]) . Your gift of $1,500 will ensure that our top-rated podcast, History. Culture, Trauma. ([link removed]) , continues to raise awareness of historical trauma, racism, and social determinants of health. A monthly contribution of $250 will support the PACEs Connection Resource Center ([link removed]) for an entire year. The strength of our organization is evidenced by our support of our members and communities. Any amount is helpful and appreciated.

With Love & Justice,

Ingrid Cockhren
