Folks,
Our campaign is committed to protecting women's rights and their freedom to make decisions over their bodies.
That's why I recently held a brunch, inviting women from across the state, to listen to and discuss the importance of fighting for women's rights in the healthcare space. Over 200 people showed up to engage with our panel discussion and share their stories.
We discussed how extremist Republicans' attacks on abortion are a pressing issue, and specifically, how Maryland's next Senator will need to be firm on protecting reproductive freedom in our state and across the country.
I shared my record of supporting abortion access with a 100% rating from Planned Parenthood and NARAL every year that I’ve been in Congress. I also serve on the Black Maternal Health Caucus where we work to ensure all mothers have access to high quality health care.
When I'm in the Senate, I’ll be committed to making reproductive rights and women’s health top priorities, but wanted to check in with supporters with a one-question poll: Do you agree that protecting women’s healthcare should be a top priority for Maryland's next Senator?
Thank you,
David Trone
