New York Times: "Sweeping Raids, Giant Camps and Mass Deportations: Inside Trump’s 2025 Immigration Plans"
"If he regains power, Donald Trump wants not only to revive some of the immigration policies criticized as draconian during his presidency, but expand and toughen them."

Donald Trump's immigration policies are dangerous — but they aren't new. Instead, they echo a dark history of mass forced deportation, racism, and brutality.

History Channel: "The Largest Mass Deportation in American History"
Under “Operation Wetback,” President Dwight D. Eisenhower used military-style tactics to deport Mexican immigrants.
Some reports estimated 60% of those deported were U.S. citizens of Mexican descent.

More than one million people and countless families were affected by the brutal forced deportation campaign.

Trump has repeatedly alluded to implementing an “Eisenhower model” approach to immigration if he wins office.

He hopes to expand Eisenhower’s anti-immigration campaign to carry out “the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.”

“As Trump and his MAGA supporters seek to remake our nation and our Constitution in his image, they will be coming out in full force to the ballot box a year from now.
If they win, we can expect a police state that goes beyond Operation Wetback, creating a human tragedy on a historic scale and irreparably destroying our communities and permanently lowering our leadership and standing on the global stage.” — María Teresa Kumar
